Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-06
The short version
- No accounts, no sign-up, no login.
- The charging cost calculator runs in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to our server.
- We may use cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count visits.
- We may show ads (Google AdSense) and use affiliate links in future. If we do, this page will be updated first.
What the site is
NEV Owner Guide is a static website: pages and scripts delivered to your browser. We don't run a user database and don't collect names, email addresses or payment details through the site.
Analytics
We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is designed to measure traffic without cookies and without tracking individuals across websites. It gives us aggregate data such as page views, referrers, country and device type. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security and reliability.
The calculator
Everything you type into the calculator (consumption, distances, prices) is processed in your browser. We don't receive or store it. If the calculator offers to remember your last inputs, they are saved only in your own browser's local storage, and you can clear them at any time.
Advertising (future)
We may show ads in future, for example through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may then use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, which may be personalised depending on your location and choices. Where required by law, we'll ask for consent first. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
Affiliate links (future)
Some pages may in future include affiliate links, for example to home chargers, cables or accessories. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links will be clearly labelled and won't affect our recommendations or figures.
Your choices
You can block cookies and scripts in your browser. The calculator needs JavaScript to work.
Changes
We'll update the date above whenever this policy changes.
